2014 Spelling Bee Champions Crowned
PPCMS West hosted the 2014 Spelling Bee competition on February 6th in the school cafeteria. Forty-five finalists representing all grade levels competed to represent the school at the Broward County Scripps National Spelling Bee in March. Parents, teachers, and students
alike enjoyed the commitment and enthusiasm of the finalists as they went 12 rounds to crown our champion, 8th grader Dylan Olster, who won with the word "portraiture.'' Maria Lakdawala and Julinna Villarta, both 7th graders, finished
in second and third place, respectively. It was a day where decorum and academic excellence took center stage. Congratulations to the winners, the finalists and their families.
