Lisa Bonawitz - National Board Certified in Social Studies
Ms. Bonawitz graduated in 1992 from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. In 2004 she became a National Board Certified Teacher in the area of Generalist/Early Childhood. She also holds an endorsement in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), as well as certification in Primary Education, Elementary Education, and Middle Grades Integrated Curriculum. Currently she teaches Intensive Reading.

Dayna Cole - National Board Certified in Music
Ms. Cole has been the band director at PPCMS for 16 years and has been teaching for a total of 29 years. Currently she is the State Middle School Representative for the Florida Bandmasters Association. The bands at PPCMS have earned Superior ratings at Concert and Solo & Ensemble Assessment since our school opened. The bands' program is recognized as one of the most outstanding programs in Broward County. Mrs. Cole earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music from the University of Miami and a Master's Degree in Music from Florida State University.

Isabelle Léger - National Board Certified in Educational Media
Ms. Léger has been teaching for 26 years and helped open Pembroke Pines Charter Middle West 16 years ago. She is state-certified in Media, English, Music, French and Educational Leadership. Infusing technology into curriculum and collaborating with teachers to achieve academic rigor are her strengths. She has served as Language Arts, Electives and Reading department chair and is presently our Cambridge Coordinator.
